Christmas Inspirations

Published by Mário Soares a

This year, Christmas may be different from what we are used to. But we can try to make it like all the others. It was with this in mind that we created our Christmas Limited Edition, Natalis.

A candle that gets us in the Christmas spirit in less than 5 seconds. With sweet notes of aniseed and caramel, mixed with spicy and exotic notes of cloves, cinnamon and ginger, it smells exactly like freshly baked gingerbread biscuits. Or some caramelised dreams. That part depends on each person's nose!

So, to get 100% into the Christmas spirit, we share here a delicious recipe for Gingerbread Cookies, by one of our Ambassadors, Cristiana.

Ingredients nutmeg
- 300gr unleavened flour
- 1 teaspoon Bicarbonate of Soda
- 1/2 teaspoon fine salt
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon clove powder
- 1 tablespoon ginger powder
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- 100gr melted unsalted butter
- 150gr brown sugar
- 4 tablespoons honey
- 1 egg

Preparation

Mix the flour, bicarbonate of soda, fine salt and spices (ginger, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg nutmeg) in a food processor and set aside.

2. In a bowl, beat the brown sugar with the butter. Then add the egg and honey and beat again.

3. Add all the ingredients to the food processor and blend. Then knead it with your hands until it forms a ball of consistency and place it in the refrigerator (covered) for about 1 hour. If it doesn't gain consistency, add flour little by little until it no longer sticks to your hands.

4. After this time, stretch the dough with the help of a rolling pin and cut it into the shapes you like the most.

5. Bake in the oven at 180°C for about 10 minutes (it will depend a little on your oven, be aware 😋)

6. When you remove the biscuits from the oven, let cool before storing.

Finally, we can't help but wish you a Merry Christmas. Or at least a normal Christmas. May you never lose the magic of this season!
